I also don't know if it could just be a case of cigar noob with more money than sense. Also possible.

Or just someone with "F*** You Money'.

I would be a bit concerned that something unusual and possibly extralegal might be going on here. I don't know the legalities well enough to gue

Don’t want to speculate, but think it should be investigated thoroughly.

Unless doing so increases the hosting site's liability. It may. I don't know the answer to that.

How long until El Pres is seen on a yacht like Rocky Patel? :D

Just a thousand (or so) more $1500 Montecarlo box commissions, and he should be all set for sail.  I think I've got a box I could put up, you know, to help the effort 😁

As a friend of the seller for years now, the shady stuff is definitely only on the buy side of the transaction. We’ve been chatting for the last few days about it. There was no way this transaction was going to be settled up at that price - and as expected the high bidder ghosted him.

Makes sense Giz - I just pray it wasn’t a box that Rooster sold to Bam some time ago.

This was the third option no one thought of about this sale. That jack ball that thinks it's funny to run up the price on an auction with no intention of paying it. I would bet he will have a hard time bidding on future cigar auctions.

Indeed. Hope the laugh he got from being a jerk was worth a permanent ban.

Lighting one up in honor. Never felt more like a magnate than lighting up a $400 cigar 🤑

To be honest, I have some of those that are WAY better than more expensive sticks. 👍

Technically it takes 2 to tango, or in this case, to drive the price up…if just one guy bid that, it would have been the previous high bid + $5.

Anyone that liked that price can look me up. For that price I have 10 boxes I will sell and take the ban. With a smile. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
