ha_banos Posted March 27 Posted March 27 There are all sorts of legal rules that are in place that BR will conform to. Including things like reporting and compliance. Especially as credit and debit cards are forms of payment. There's all sorts of terms and conds https://www.bondroberts.com/terms_conditions that likely cover them. 1

Now, seriously, surely not so in this case, even considered outlier. Won’t you think, Rob? The hammer price is so far and beyond from any, even the most upper-end, current market value. Something fishy going on there. Not sure whether it would be in the auction site’s best interest and responsibility to check the transaction, but I would certainly have a closer look into it. Experienced bidders or not. They are a professional team Fugu. It was being looked into from the minute it finished. 6

Popular Post LizardGizmo Posted March 28 Popular Post Posted March 28 As a friend of the seller for years now, the shady stuff is definitely only on the buy side of the transaction. We’ve been chatting for the last few days about it. There was no way this transaction was going to be settled up at that price - and as expected the high bidder ghosted him. 4 5 2

Makes sense Giz - I just pray it wasn’t a box that Rooster sold to Bam some time ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

This was the third option no one thought of about this sale. That jack ball that thinks it's funny to run up the price on an auction with no intention of paying it. I would bet he will have a hard time bidding on future cigar auctions. 3

Hope the laugh he got from being a jerk was worth a permanent ban. 1

Technically it takes 2 to tango, or in this case, to drive the price up…if just one guy bid that, it would have been the previous high bid + $5. 1
Nevrknow Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Anyone that liked that price can look me up. For that price I have 10 boxes I will sell and take the ban. With a smile. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 1 1
