El Presidente Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Regular production Habanos releases you have never seen smoked in the wild? 29 years in the game, many hundreds of events and catch-ups. I think I am yet to see a Cohiba Panetela being smoked by anyone in the wild? Never in a divan, never at a function, never among mates. No doubt they are being smoked (?) but certainly not in my circle. Are there any other regular production Habanos cigars that you never...or rarely...see being smoked in the wild? 2
Li Bai Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Never seen a Cohiba Panetela either. There must be many others, but the first that comes to mind is also one of the most elusive and underrated CCs (to me at least), the Fonseca N°1. 🤔 3
JohnS Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Well, that's weird because I have smoked both the Cohiba Panetelas and Fonseca No.1 in the last few years, but I'm unlikely to re-acquire these at current pricing. One vitola that I've never seen smoked in my presence is the Romeo y Julieta Petit Coronas. 4
zacca Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Maybe surprising, maybe not, but H.Upmann Coronas Junior. 2
BrightonCorgi Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Fonseca No. 1 is one of the few I will seek out even at current pricing. I cannot recall the last time I saw one or someone smoking a Diplomatico No. 5 or Bolivar Bonitas. 3

Puros Y Vino Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I rarely see the Esplendido pulled out. Even before the price increases, they were hard to find in Havana and a bit more expensive than other regular Churchills. Runners up - Partagas Presidentes and BHK 54/56. 4

Before cigarmageddon, I smoked Espies at least weekly and happily shared them with anyone. Now I’m like Mr Bumble. 3 2

Popular Post Duder Posted February 25 Popular Post Posted February 25 Not surprising to me @El Presidente as this CoHo smokes less of those than any other vitola. Love the little buggers but when I want a shorter thinnie I almost always reach for an Exquisitos as they are the better smoke. As for myself, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anyone but me smoking an A. Big surprise 😄 5
LizardGizmo Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I’ve never seen Siglo 3, BHK56, Partagás Habaneros, nor the previously mentioned Cohiba Panatelas in the wild. Plenty of other cigars I haven’t had myself. 2

Big surprise 😄 Maybe a certain group of 5 of us will fire them up someday. It requires a Vikings Super Bowl appearance or Popedom for a specific FOHer. Don't hold your breath. 4
NYGuido Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I have never seen anyone, in my presence, smoke any Sancho Panza, Vegas Robaina, Cohiba BHK, or tons more. This perhaps is because not many people I smoke with in NYC have the interest in (or know how to) find and acquire Cuban cigars. I pulled out a H.Upmann Sir Winston at the lounge a few weeks ago and one guy nearly jumped out of his chair saying it was the first he'd ever seen in the wild. 1

I smoked a Sanchos at my club during a Super Bowl back when such was allowed way back when. Lasted me almost the whole game and I’ll likely never forget it. The perfect Super Bowl watch party cigar. 3 1

All the others mentioned (current production) I bump into here, there and everywhere. 3
loose_axle Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Almost everything. I nearly fall over if I see another person smoking a cigar in the wild these days and try as hard as I can to see what they have. HDM Epi 2 and San Juan are most in vogue at Siglo (probs only place down here you see it). Upmann Mag 54 and RyJ short Churchill/ Tubos 2 would be next. To be honest, I only ever see Cubans very rarely now almost everyone has cigarillos or various non-Cubans of all sizes and shapes. 2
Hammer Smokin' Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I'm sure Prez is still selling the magic Fonseca 1's from 2014 or whenever they put away 1,000 boxes and took them out of storage five years ago. I had one last night in fact.

Garand Posted February 25 Posted February 25 How can you actually know someone is smoking a Fonseca if they remove the tissue paper? Otherwise, I have never seen someone smoke a Sancho Panza Belicosos. 2

I tried my first Fonseca No.1 single a few weeks ago, and I’m instantly hooked - now trying to find a box. I was proud of myself for sliding off the tissue paper whilst retaining the band 😁 I’ve never seen a Siglo V in the wild. 4
JohnS Posted February 26 Posted February 26 5 hours ago, Sanchez27 said: I’ve never seen a Siglo V in the wild. That 43 ring gauge x 170 mm (or 6¾ inches) in length Dalias size is the reason. The Cohiba Siglo V and the Partagas 8-9-8, the last two regular production cigar in this vitola, were rarely rolled and seen even prior to the Covid-19 pandemic and Cigarmageddon. 3
