jps2345 Posted Saturday at 01:07 AM Posted Saturday at 01:07 AM I could use some help with best 48 ring gauge Hermosos No.4 Cuban cigars. 1
yuppie Posted Saturday at 01:22 AM Posted Saturday at 01:22 AM SLR Regios Choix Suprême Upmann Connoisseur No.1 La Escepcion Don José. 4
Montezüma Posted Saturday at 02:43 AM Posted Saturday at 02:43 AM Great question @jps2345. It would be interesting to see some ER and LEs if dear FOH can share insights. Personally, it's my favorite vitola. I think Vegas Robaina Famosos personifies this vitola rather well and if I am not mistaken, with a beautifully slight box pressed presentation. I would also like to add Punch Sir John, ER Germany. Is there a Cohiba Hermosos I wonder? 1
Popular Post JohnS Posted Saturday at 03:54 AM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 03:54 AM The most consistent and reliable Cuban Hermosos No.4-sized cigar nowadays would have to be the H.Upmann Connoisseur No.1. The others (such as the El Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme, Romeo y Julieta Exhibicion No.4, Saint Luis Rey Regios or Vegas Robaina Famosos) all have their moments of exhilaration, from time-to-time, but in general nothing beats the H.Upmann Connoisseur No.1. 14
cybermadhatter Posted Saturday at 04:12 AM Posted Saturday at 04:12 AM Except for the VR Famosos, all of the Hermoso #4s came in SLB packaging. (All had 50 cab iterations, except the Upmann with 25; VR only in a db presentation). I like them all, as well as the RG Coronas de Lonsdales, depending on my mood. 1
Ford2112 Posted Saturday at 06:59 AM Posted Saturday at 06:59 AM I take it the La Fuerza is too big to qualify? 1
JPark3 Posted Saturday at 10:32 AM Posted Saturday at 10:32 AM Big fan of the RyJ Exhibicion No. 4 and HU Connie 1. 4
Lucas Buck Posted Saturday at 11:31 PM Posted Saturday at 11:31 PM The RyJ is my favorite but the Upmann Connie 1 is close. 2

Montezüma Posted Sunday at 01:45 AM Posted Sunday at 01:45 AM Punch 48 LCDH, really great format but a bit of a hit and miss for overall experience. People seem to have varying takes on the cigar. Its generally a 8/10 for me. Cuban Cigar Website actually refers this as a Hermosos No 3. Lovely presentation as well with the custom bands. Punch does excel under 50RG in the Coronas. Maybe people expect more than a Punch Punch when they pick and yet the Punch Punch is already such a distinguished cigar. Maybe. 1

Agree with this wholeheartedly, but it falls outside of the parameters due to length, as you pointed out. My favorite 48rg, though, above the Connie 1, in my opinion. 4

Ditto!! But I am a H.Upmann Whore though. I am glad that I have over 8 boxes of them (all boxes purchased less than $180 per box) and the youngest boxes are 2017. 😍 3 1
Skm672 Posted Sunday at 09:07 PM Posted Sunday at 09:07 PM I think the best cigar in this Vitola is the ERDM Choix Supreme. While the older cigars definitely had a better blend for me personally, I think in this vitola, the Choix Supreme, wins all the time. The last cigar introduced with this vitola was the RG Coronas de Lonsdale. Lots of confusion with the name. The early batches I have smoked have been phenomenal, but more recently I have smoked a few and believe that they have lost their potential. If I can order my preference of this vitola, it would be: 1 - ERDM Choix Supreme 2 - PL Picadores 3 - Vegas Robaina Famosos 4 - RYJ Exhibicion #4 5 - H Upmann Connie 1 6 - SLR Regios. 1
HuffnPuffff Posted Sunday at 09:11 PM Posted Sunday at 09:11 PM RyJ Exh 4!!! They benefit from quite a lot of time down to smooth out the experience, IMHO. I’m currently working on 2014s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
ha_banos Posted Sunday at 10:35 PM Posted Sunday at 10:35 PM As always, questions like this result in the full gamut of options as responses. 😀 1
cybermadhatter Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Ah. How did I forget about the PL Picadores? Smoking from a 2017 box, these days. I like the ERdM Choix Supreme in the spring, outdoors. (It is the yin to my Juan Lopez Seleccion No.2 in the fall, outdoors, yang) The RyJ Exhibicion No.4 I liked more when they were in cabs. I still like the SLR Regios, but hard to find, and I smoked through all my cabs. The H. Upmann Connie No.1 is the most consistent over the years. The VR Famosos was better in the early 2000’s. The Rafael Gonzalez Coronas de Lonsdales I like with coffee. 1

Maybe. this is one of my favorite smokes. Even with just a few years they rarely disappoint. 1
DeeBeezy Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago VR famoso might be my favourite cigar. Upmann Connie 1 is also excellent and quite consistent as others have noted. Connie1 is suited to kore pallets imo 1
Capn_Jackson Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago My favorite vitola of all, actually! The Cuban standout in this size is the H Upmann Connie 1. Always a nice smoke. My next up are the San Luis Rey Regios and Vegas Robaina Famosos, although I don’t think either are as good as they were ten years or so back. RyJ Exhibition 4 comes next for me.
