No Fuel - No Electricity - No Cigars

The above was succinctly put to me yesterday in a discussion with industry heads.

Cigar production is prioritised but there are other demands higher on the list of importance.

The seriousness of the current situation is hitting home for all within the Cuban cigar industry. :shead:

What an absolute tragedy for the people of Cuba. Cigars aside. This is not a good situation. And that they're being squeezed even more is immoral.

This is probably where you’ll want to keep a close moderator’s eye on me. I’ve been exemplary so far.

Cigars supply have been impacted for a while now from what I heard over here from end retailers. Hoping for some humanitarian relief soon.

Tying with the other thread. I'd love to be able to tour a less troubled nation of people with hope and prosperity. May the luxuries of health, food, shelter, safety, happiness, freedoms, come soon 🤞🏼 Cigars can come when they come.

You have to feel sorry for the Cubans. My next door neighbor is Cuban and you couldn't ask for a better one than he is. He says that the situation there is very bad, everything is on short supply if available at all.

It is so sad. I would give up Cuban cigars forever if it meant the people could live a decent quality life there.

Very well said.

I know people still going down there very aware of the risks just to run medication and food (usually freeze dried) down there for friends they've made over the years.

Here's a report of tourists being rounded up to maximize occupation in a few hotels while others are closed to conserve what little fuel they have:
