Popular Post El Presidente Posted Friday at 10:07 PM Popular Post Posted Friday at 10:07 PM We are having a brilliant spell of summer weather. Blue sky, hot without being scorching. Off for a gym session now followed by lunch with mum, dad, my kids and their partners. Ben has arranged today's lunch to show his grandparents his new house. Should be a great lunch. If I play my cards right, I can swing today's lunch as my birthday lunch as well, and hence dodge a midweek parent catchup Sunday we will likely take Di's mum out to lunch at the Rocklea Hotel. I like this pub. It has had a rough reputation over the years due to it's colourful locals (bikies/drug dealers/truckies)...but I feel right at home. They do a great pub meal with my favourite being the tomahawk on a hot rock...that you cook at the table. I can't wait for Catherina (Di's mum) to lecture me that the concept of going out to lunch is for the restaurant to cook. I have taken her to Korean BBQ before...so I know what is coming. Outside of that I have some blends to taste and preparation for SuperBowl Monday. What's up for the weekend? 7
Popular Post Wookie Posted Friday at 11:24 PM Popular Post Posted Friday at 11:24 PM Smoking a BR big gun right now. Striking how it mimics the Lusitania. Maybe even a bit better. I’m from Boston so I'm hoping Patriots can pull a horse shoe out their a**. Have a great weekend all! 6
Popular Post westg Posted Saturday at 02:45 AM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 02:45 AM 5:30 am beach therapy this morning; swims, black coffee and a Punch mini. Being dragged to the Fremantle markets and I have no will to go. That said, they are actually pretty good. Dinner at the Embassy tonight which is owned by Simon Devlin who owns the local cigar lounge here as well. Tomorrow morning beach again. 😎🌴 10
Popular Post loose_axle Posted Saturday at 07:10 AM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 07:10 AM Been laid up with a particularly bad virus for the past few days. On heavy meds and it's kyboshed all plans so far but still hoping to make the Superbowl on Monday at the pub with some close mates. We've done it every year for 10 years without fail but this will be the first one dry for me (curse and bless you antibiotics). 6
Popular Post Marco_011t556 Posted Saturday at 10:46 AM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 10:46 AM Gym and cigar, lol! 8

Same here, I was hoping for a short smoke, lika a RG Perla but in the end I just went back to bed. Man flu is the worst. 4
Popular Post anacostiakat Posted Saturday at 01:16 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 01:16 PM Finally got dug out and was able to get to the grocery store yesterday (Friday) after almost two weeks of being iced in. Temps in the 20's F with 40 to 50 mph and gusts up to 60 this weekend. So hunkering down here in the District. 8
Popular Post bmac Posted Saturday at 01:52 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 01:52 PM Gym time done. Nothing fancy-vegetable omelet, hash browns crispy and wheat toast. 9
Popular Post chasy Posted Saturday at 03:23 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 03:23 PM Lowkey weekend. Takeout, hang around the house. Get to know Sonny 😉 14 1
Popular Post yuppie Posted Saturday at 06:34 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 06:34 PM My first attempt at Shakshuka this Saturday morning after a very nice 2020 RAT PL Montecarlos. Eggs went slightly too long but were still runny in the middle, added pepperoni colby jack cheese and chorizo to kick it up! Next up: Film some content for the ol' YT channel, going to do a video on "First Haul of 2026". 12

My son and I watching old Bond movies 12

On the plus side, getting plenty of lounge time and smoking some fantastic cigars. 3
Popular Post Drguano Posted 23 hours ago Popular Post Posted 23 hours ago Thursday night was the UK release of the Punch Nectares Irlandia Regional at James J. Fox. I think the cigar has improved in the months since the original release in Dublin. Good times, good cigars, good whisky, s***e weather but better than home. 14
David8406 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Dealing with some storm cleanup for the last few weekends and likely the next few months. The Oxford, MS area got hammered by an ice storm. Looks like a hurricane came through. We have quite a few rental properties and a farm in the area. Quite the cleanup effort underway. There must be a few hundred professional debris removal teams in town… massive truck and trailer rigs that have their own crane for loading and unloading. When the power goes out and it doesn’t get above freezing for a week, things get a little worrisome. All in all, we feel fortunate. I still can’t believe we didn’t have more frozen water pipes. The good news? It’s not August. 3
