Popular Post JDoughty Posted October 22, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 22, 2025 Don't get me wrong, it's a great product and I'm very happy I installed one in my little smoking corner. My spouse is too. They really do a fine job of reducing or eliminating the smell of cigar smoke indoors. This said, if you are ever searching for replacement parts for yours, for the love of god don't EVER search "Rabbit remote" with images on. Especially if your spouse is likely to walk in the room. 😝 11
BrightonCorgi Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Rabbit is legendary in marital aids.😉 1

My older RabbitAir model has a very specific looking remote control, so I was searching images in the hopes of finding the correct replacement unit. This was a tactical error and I have significantly refined my search terms in an attempt to make sure I am going to be looking at air purifier products and not the other thing. 😆 1
Chibearsv Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 I couldn't put 2 and 2 together on why that search would be so bad until @BrightonCorgi responded. 1

Try it, you won't like it. Or maybe you will. 😝 I'm not judging. I will warn you that those other Rabbit products seem quite unlikely to be a very useful adjunct to cigar smoking. At least not my cigar smoking. Can't speak for some of these modern influencers on social media though. Never know what they're going to try next. 2
benfica_77 Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 Pretty sure @Fuzz AI created the "rabbit remote" a true innovator! 2
Fuzz AI Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 Why, oh why, did I just know my name is going to appear in this thread? 1 2
ha_banos Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 You see. This is what you get if you go wondering around t'internet with the safe search filters switched off!
BG318 Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 I had to show the missus that website. At first she wasn't too pleased but eventually she came around. Thanks to all my FOH brethren, I'm getting an air purifier! 2

The last time I turned safe search on was when I legitimately had to research a veterinary question about donkey breeding, on a work computer. Equines are outside my normal scope, but our mammal person was out that day. Sadly, it was only mostly effective. Trust me on this one, unless you really need know the likely genetics of a petting zoo veterinary patient that came in as a rescue with no history, this is not a subject you want to ask Google about. Fortunately, once we'd figured out which parent was probably which based on morphology, the rest of the question involved veterinary databases that did not include any questionable content. 🥴 3

Cestis4 Posted October 24, 2025 Posted October 24, 2025 They have an app you can use to control many of the units.

Not sure if that will work with one as old as mine? I have the BioGS SPA-421A. The remote for this unit looks quite different from the more modern ones in this line and has been quite difficult to find. A text search just turns up endless examples of the new ones. Filters have continued to be easy to find, fortunately.
