Glass Half Full Posted August 14, 2025 Posted August 14, 2025 Hi All - I am not a fisherman (and certainly not a "catcher man" ) ...But I know Rob and many of you are, so thought you'd enjoy this. Perhaps it's just "bad juju" from when folks fail to catch and release (Sr. Hamlet)?? (Or it could just be AI. But it's something nonetheless https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNI5SX8NbOg/?igsh=MXg0MGJlNTJ2azJqYg%3D%3D 1 1
Zonum Posted August 14, 2025 Posted August 14, 2025 First guy almost got stabbed. That’s why I don’t go deep sea fishing, lol. I mostly fish in lakes but never have any luck 😂
Popular Post joeypots Posted August 14, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 14, 2025 Haven't done much fishing in a while. I used to catch a lot of striped bass right off of the beach when I had hair. I think my only rule born of experience for off shore fishing would be don't bring a seven ft mako shark on the boat unless you are sure, like a shotgun blast in the brain, it's dead. 5 1
Popular Post El Presidente Posted August 14, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 14, 2025 Fun vid No one on our boat will forget last year when a 2m shark T-boned our boat at speed as we were about to take a tuna out of the water. I was going to tail the tuna into the boat but PJ last second decided to gaff it in. That decision saved my arm 4 1
El Hoze Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 I live on the southeast coast of Florida and fish a lot. The sharks down here are out of control. They have figured out fishing patterns and will ambush you. If you hook a snook off a jetty or a permit off a warm water discharge the tax man is often watching and waiting. Common practice if a shark ends up next to your boat is increasingly a bang stick to the head, though the practice isn’t for me as frustrated as I have been many times. Hopefully the sharks start to catch onto this trend too. Seeing a beautiful gamefish you spend so much time chasing getting eaten by a shark will definitely ruin the moment. Usually 30 seconds of silence, followed by blurting out random curse words, followed by “I think I need to get a bang stick.” 2

Completely rude. In the US we would call that a “dick move” not sure whether that translates down there!
