I feel the same way. I was recently offered a NC Cohiba and was gifted one of these turds. I smoked it to be gracious. It was total schlock.

I think Red Dot thrives on guys who like to show off and don't know anything about cigars. I can imagine this working on an exceedingly egotistic, young investment banker, haha!

I dig some of the AJ Fernandez Montecristo sticks, but Altadis has a stake in their NC Cuban-namesake brands not being terrible. I know NC Partagas ain't great. Can't be bothered to spend hard-earned money on Red Dot.

I felt the same way until I had the Trinidad Espiritu Series 1. Solid smoke!

Nothing wrong with that my friend. I’ll have to take your word for it. I’m not knocking NC cigars. There are some truly incredible cigars coming out of Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and Honduras. I just personally will not smoke any NC cigars with Cuban names.

All I can say is, for $150, I would rather smoke a Cuban then that dog rocket, and I'm being nice.

Been bashing them for years until the special edition Green band series came out. We live in Palm Springs for 6 weeks in March/April. We bring boxes and boxes of CC’s to schmoke poolside.

At the casino smoking lounge you can smoke yours for whatever you purchase. I usually buy Padron but then there were these.

I liked them so much I acquired boxes for our cigar group here in Ontario. 🥰

If GC changed the name from Cohiba to Silencio (like they do in Europe, evidently?) maybe I’d be more ‘open’ to them (but still not at $150 a stick).
