MrBirdman Posted June 18, 2025 Posted June 18, 2025 Hey GC needs some way to pay the attorneys handling their lawsuit with Habanos. They've been paying those bills for longer than many smokers have been alive. 2 1
tbelle7 Posted June 18, 2025 Posted June 18, 2025 Honest question - is there really demand for these things?
Popular Post CigarCulture09 Posted June 18, 2025 Popular Post Posted June 18, 2025 I personally will not smoke any NC cigars with Cuban names. 4 1

I think Red Dot thrives on guys who like to show off and don't know anything about cigars. I can imagine this working on an exceedingly egotistic, young investment banker, haha! 18 hours ago, CigarCulture09 said: I personally will not smoke any NC cigars with Cuban names. I dig some of the AJ Fernandez Montecristo sticks, but Altadis has a stake in their NC Cuban-namesake brands not being terrible. I know NC Partagas ain't great. Can't be bothered to spend hard-earned money on Red Dot. 2
ha_banos Posted June 18, 2025 Posted June 18, 2025 Enough people will mistake these for the Cubans I guess? 1

Dlowil Posted June 19, 2025 Posted June 19, 2025 I personally will not smoke any NC cigars with Cuban names. I felt the same way until I had the Trinidad Espiritu Series 1. Solid smoke! 2

I’ll have to take your word for it. I’m not knocking NC cigars. There are some truly incredible cigars coming out of Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and Honduras. I just personally will not smoke any NC cigars with Cuban names.
laficion Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 Hi all, All I can say is, for $150, I would rather smoke a Cuban then that dog rocket, and I'm being nice. Guy 1
Popular Post canadianbeaver Posted June 21, 2025 Popular Post Posted June 21, 2025 Been bashing them for years until the special edition Green band series came out. We live in Palm Springs for 6 weeks in March/April. We bring boxes and boxes of CC’s to schmoke poolside. At the casino smoking lounge you can smoke yours for whatever you purchase. I usually buy Padron but then there were these. I liked them so much I acquired boxes for our cigar group here in Ontario. 🥰 CB 6
joeprice28 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago @canadianbeaver I live in the Coachella Valley too. We should meet up at Pivat next time you're in town.
Mr. DD Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago If GC changed the name from Cohiba to Silencio (like they do in Europe, evidently?) maybe I’d be more ‘open’ to them (but still not at $150 a stick).
