Exactly. Well said, @99call! You absolutely have to point out your biases/preferences concerning your palate if you do reviews. Some prefer sweet, some savoury, some unami and some sour flavours. We're all different in that way.

What's ironic about the whole process is that we're not even saying these cigars are bad, we're saying that they're average. But the 'score creep' has become so bad that everything has to be 90+ and doing an honest critique seems to be an outlier. 

I enjoy it most when the panel is divided with half really enjoying it and half saying it's average.
