Your Best Cigar Experience of April 2025/last 30 days? 

That cigar that over the past 30 days, stays in your memory more than any other. That cigar that if you can close your eyes.....you can still recall every delectable detail

A 2020 Monte 1 hands down. Amazing from the first puff to the nub, smoked with a good friend and I can't even quite recall what we were talking about before lighting it up 🤩

I had a few outstanding examples, on account of smoking a number of aged cigars (which were of course mostly excellent), but the one that stood out was a LUB Abr 2015 H.Upmann Connossieur A.

For me a few LFD Air Benders I left sitting in the humidor for 2-3 years. They've been mouth coatingly oily with flavours of salted butter on warm pancakes, drizzlings of maple syrup,  pecans, brown sugar, baking spices and more salt. 

They've been like SP's on 'roids. And I do love salt flavours in a cigar.

Hoyo DC from the 2024 Christmas cigar exchange was the best HDC I’ve had.  I think it was 4 or 5 years old.  My only pic is from the dry box the weekend I smoked it.

A friend gave me 1 grand Churchill and 1 Casilda (actually I doubt the authenticity but it’s gift from friend… so no harm to smoke LOL ). It tasted really, really good! 

Grand Churchill: toffee sweet, very sweet.. burned excellent 

Casilda: not good at first few puff, but turned honey sweet after a few minutes.

Special 5th Anniversary band.

Numbered humidor of 100 cigars (500 produced).

A 2003 release. Intended to be released in 2002. 

Commemorates the 5th Anniversary of the Vegas Robaina brand.

"Today I will be reviewing the Unicos"

I love the look of this band simple but elegant the rich brown color accents the Cigar color and the sparkly gold is a perfect accent. The smell of the Cigar still has lots of cedar, even though I removed the cigars from the humidor at least 10 years ago. So it’s time to stop looking and start smoking. Starting with a small clip on the pointed top, the draw is perfect. The pre-light draw has graham crackers and Cocoa. Decided to use my soft flame S.T.Dupont to toast the foot.

The 1st third is like a first date just getting to know each other. I’m getting lots of cinnamon, Milk chocolate and baking spices.

The 2nd third is starting to show some nice sweetness the cigar is starting to really develop, 

the flavors are starting to blend and marry together. Getting more milk, chocolate and now some dark black cherry. 

The last 3rd this may sound strange, but I’m getting Peanut butter...kind of more like toasted peanut butter. The Cigar itself is very coating on the palate with thick and Chewy smoke. I know the Cigar is 23 years old, but it is completely different than regular production Vegas Robaina line. The Cigar itself was a beautiful journey of many flavors, a complete joy to smoke. I smoke a cigar when I acquired the humidor back in 2008 at that point it was good but nothing like it is now.

A solid 98!
