mikejh Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Big series for the Reds vs the Mets, have to win the series to stay in the wildcard race
Ford2112 Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Giants have been on a streak. Too little too late? We shall see . If the Mets can blow it...sorry @JohnS 1
JohnS Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Well, with around 20 games left in the season one would have to hope that the Mets 'tank' for their team to grab a National League Wild Card spot. It stands to reason. Personally, whether the Mets, or Reds, or Giants get there, you just hope its done through good baseball. That's what merits a place in the October postseason. Right now, I'm very happy to see that the Mets are promoting good prospects to their Starting Pitching rotation. This is helping to keep the team standards higher and to account. Our experienced pitchers have been poor in the second half of the season at going beyond five innings, whereas in the first half they were exceptional. Such is life, but I am looking forward to seeing how Nolan McLean, Jonah Tong and Brandon Sproat develop in the coming twelve months.
Goldeneye Posted September 10 Posted September 10 What a great comeback and win by the Jays last night again the Astros. I love watching this team and how they just don't give up, going to be an exciting stretch run. 1

Those teams were a HoF stacked roster in comparison to this relatively median roster. But yeah, they don't give up. So well rounded in all areas. 2

I sure hope you are correct...winning 2 out 3 from Houston feels wonderful, let's hope they can get a closer dialed in for the playoffs.
Ford2112 Posted September 11 Posted September 11 The Giants have a tiny glimmer of hope. The Dodgers will either smash my dreams or completely melt down. I am skeptical we have the pitching right now. Offense has been clicking. 1

Goldeneye Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Great weekend for the Jays, they are so much fun to watch!

gormag38 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Skubal pulling himself from a start last week made me cringe in the worst way possible. Glad to hear nothing showed up in imaging. Still, I'm thinking my AL Central leading Tigers are more likely for a first round exit than making it to the World Series. Something has been off since the All Star break and we haven't really looked 'great' since.
riderpride Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Jays with another come from behind win. Love that this one was dominated by pitching. Welcome to the Bigs, Yesavage 3
Ford2112 Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Eldridge got the call up. What do they feed these kids??
Capn_Jackson Posted September 16 Posted September 16 With two more games in this series against the Astros, Rangers have a real opportunity to argue for a WC spot. Gotta hit. Gotta hit. Gotta hit. Stellar pitching, maybe the best in baseball. Gotta hit.
Ford2112 Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Kershaw is a hall of famer and class act. He had a great career. https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/breaking-news/article/clayton-kershaw-will-retire-at-the-end-of-the-2025-season-dodgers-announce-200613224.html 1 1

Goldeneye Posted September 22 Posted September 22 At the start of the year I didn't think the Jays had a chance to make the post season but this has been a real pleasant surprise this year. Now if they don't clinch the AL East it will kind of feel disappointing. Who would have thought the Jays and Mariners were the two top seeds heading into the last week of the season.
MoeFOH Posted September 27 Author Posted September 27 Red Sox clinch playoff spot! Another walk-off win in the Fenway Greens! - Just wear that shit every game, guys! 2
Ford2112 Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Congrats to all you fans who get to watch your team in the post season. 2 1
mikejh Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Crazy day, Reds lose and still get into the playoffs because the Mets lose too.
