What a shame.  It was probably insured, but for most businesses it can be unrecoverable with insurance or not. Especially with an aged product like tobacco.

This is why companies store their leaf in several different warehouses in different locations. If one burns down, there are others with quantities of leaf that can compensate for the loss. Now if all your inventory is under one roof, and it goes up in flames? You are done.

Bad Business Continuity planning in action.  Don't know the details but if they're not invested in tech to monitor every square meter of the facilities, this on them. A good insurer won't bail them out.
