JoeyBones777 Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Maybe it reduces the initial contact surface area when piercing the cap thereby lessening the chances of splitting the cap whilst cutting.🤷♂️ 3

NeoGeo Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Looks like the bottom of the batarang. Pretty cool! 1
Chibearsv Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 WTF kind of cigar is in the video?! It’s probably the only appropriate cutter for that thing 😳 2
5thStarChicago Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Cigar Aficionado branded a single blade cutter that was similar years ago. Had a couple lying around the store when I started back in 2000. I sort of get the concept as you start the cut with a fine point then expand as you go, kind of like drilling a small pilot hole before drilling a bigger hole? 1
Chitmo Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Kinda makes sense to me honestly, starting the cut on a smaller surface area would help alleviate pressure on a delicate wrapper as the blade dulls. 1

Actually Phil, I now recall seeing those back in the late 90's from memory. They obviously sold well 2

This damn internet stole all their clout! If I find one laying around, it's yours! 2
