joeypots Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 One basket will live on YouTube for a long time. Boston’s 18th championship. This team may have to goods for a few more. 3 1

Haha! That shot pretty much told the world that it's a wrap! I'm not even a Boston fan at all, but wish they could've done that in Dallas. 3
wjs Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 That shot pretty much ensured he will never pay for dinner again and some kind of local broadcast job when he retires. 1
joeypots Posted June 18, 2024 Author Posted June 18, 2024 I love watching guys like Pritchard. 6ft 1in and he looks like he’s about 4ft tall playing in the NBA. And clearly, he can shoot. 1
JohnS Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 This reminds me...I need to chat to my brother-in-law this weekend as he grew up in the Boston area and is a huge Celtics fan. After sixteen years, no doubt he'd have a lot to say!

It is funny watching him on the court surrounded by everyone else. He totally looked like a high-schooler.
Dr Process Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Congrats to Boston. They have been knocking on the door for awhile. Nice to see Tatum/Brown get it done; especially in the face of criticism that they can never win together, etc. Not to be overlooked, addition of Holiday was huge! Dallas was overmatched. Would have been nice to see a more competitive Finals. I wonder how Denver and Minnesota would have matched up. 2

They would be beaten Minnesota, Minn is a young / less experienced team and the C's would have taken advantage of that. 1

Still think Boston would have won in 7 against DEN or MN. 2
BrightonCorgi Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Was great to reacquire the most championship status. Basketball was invented here! The Celtics use to practice at my old gym. They had a basketball court attached off the weight room. They now have a new state of the art facility that is shared with the Bruins. Part of New Balance's global head quarters. It's hard for cold weather NBA teams to attract the best. Hopefully the championship and training facility will keep Boston winning! 2
