Cold Draw - Pretty tight draw but not a spoiler. Taste of sweet almonds.

1st /3 - Herbal sharpness and nuts.

     Retrohale - Strong herbal and hay

2nd /3 - Earth but still a twangy flavor.

     Retrohale - Very twangy

3rd /3 - White pepper and nuts are the main flavor

     Retrohale - Deep herbal flavor and earthy

Score: 90/100

Summary: My first No. 1, not what I was expecting with the sharpness of the flavors. Still very enjoyable and cubanesque. I found my mouth watering a lot from this cigar. Smoking time was 90 minutes.

I recognise this period of Monte 1 from your description, and I love this character. Quite mild, very twangy. Great companion to a book in the garden, or a relaxed conversation with friends. Old school cool.

I think I made it that far on my last one. But the flavors were hitting so good I rushed it and made it bitter. Next one I will slow down on. 👍
