Hi Canadians brothers. I will be in Vancouver few days in May. Any place where it is possible to go and enjoy a good smoke?

Cigar lounge or cigar bar or a good restaurant with a smoking area?

Hi Gino,

I've been to Vancouver a couple of times, so Canadian residents may have a more up to date information than me.

As far as places to buy cigars, there are handful of places to buy, but my favorite was "Revolucion Cigars and Gifts", with a limited selection. Be dfor the high prices (take your own cigars). They were the only place that I came across where you can actually sit down outside their store and have a smoke.

"2000 Cigars" was also a very nice place with a decent selection of cigars, and very friendly owners, husband and wife.

I found Vancouver to be a not so friendly to cigar smokers, and as I mentioned, outside of Revolucion cigars store was the only place that I actually saw people sitting down and be able to smoke.

Beautiful city with excellent sceneries. Highly recommend Cactus restaurant at 588 Burrard St, Vancouver, BC V6C 0A8, and get a table by window overlooking the harbour. You can't smoke there but good food and unbelievable scenery. Enjoy your time there. (Take your own cigars.)

Hello Mr. Japan,

I'm around Vancouver. It is illegal to even smoke in a park or on/near a beach. Suprised Revolucion allows smoking outside for MC4. Must be 30M from ANY door opening.

It's been a while, but City Cigar had an area in the parkade. Not very big or comfy. Not sure if they still allow it or have it. However, a great cigar shop but as with all Tobacco products in Canada, VERY expensive. http://www.citycigarcompany.com/

Thank you guys.

Not going to buy cigars for sure but if it is not friendly I will not even smoke, everyone says it's a beautiful city so I will enjoy walking around.

I will be anyhow coming from a long smoking weekend, so can stay few days without a good smoke.

While if may not be "friendly" I have always been able to find a place to smoke in Vancouver. I wouldn't let that discourage you from trying a cigar. Buying one from a shop may give you the info on where you can.

It's always be fine for me to walk around with a cigar. I've often found a quiet spot downtown to sit and smoke and nobody has been bothered.

I did have a smoke with the owner of 2000 cigars (nice people and shop), outside of their place and someone stopped to lecture us about how it was irresponsible to smoke in a country with health care. So there's that side of it too lol.

Toronto has similar rules. You can't smoke within 9 meters of any door opening, but if you're smoking on public space ie sidewalk it's OK. Most times if I'm just considerate of others nobody has an issue.

Are you staying downtown? Parq Casino has a 3rd floor smoking patio (covered and heated) plus you can take food/drinks out there incl. alcoholic beverages from their bars.

Woody’s Pub in coquitlam also has a smoking patio and there’s a few other pubs as well.

Thats fine if it's not raining or cold. You'll still get the evil stares and sometimes comments. Dude, it's Vancouver! Not Havana. LOL

Echoing this - I haven't been to Vancouver since ~2018, but I do remember this shop and the park just north was a nice walk as well.
