subzerox Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 Purchased as single from A La Civette in Paris; don’t know box info but probably 2023. Bought 2 weeks ago. Vitola: piramides 1st third: seems a bit wet though I keep my Cubans at 62-65%. Lower smoke output than I’d like. Beautiful wrapper. Hay, no Cuban twang yet, a bit damp. Damp floral notes come in, like wet day walking through a garden. 2nd third: opens up, smoke output increases, draw is good. Nutmeg coming in, occasionally some sweetness, honey like. Cuban twang and pepper make an entrance. Some honey. Short finish. 3rd third: sweet caramel delight! Hay is in the background, twang fades. Occasional cocoa. Some floral/citrus notes come in. Toast comes in, no peppers. Ends with a barnyard note. Short finish. Overall rating about 4/5. Box worthy not nothing spectacular.
subzerox Posted March 25, 2024 Author Posted March 25, 2024 Sorry forgot the vitola: piramides. It’s not a very thin cigar (I have big hands lol) 1
MagicalBikeRide Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 HU2 Has some notes that remind me of a Monte 2 but I always get that Cuban twang right up front with them. 1

subzerox Posted March 25, 2024 Author Posted March 25, 2024 This is exciting - when/how do I announce winner?
MagicalBikeRide Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 Not until later in the week - Friday morning Bris time
vvvendo1969 Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 Partagas Serie P No.2 I speculate the above based on the phrase "Damp floral notes come in, like wet day walking through a garden.".
