The cigar industry does not get a lot of ‘wins’, so it’s important to recognize people who made a difference. Love or loathe his cigars....or indifferent....he has certainly put his wallet where his mouth is in terms of fighting FDA. So have others mind you. For cigar lovers outside of the USA, I think we can say that we are in awe at the "fight" shown against cigar regulation creep. Kudos 6

wathabanos Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Best new release of 2023 Cuban Cigar - Partagas Legados Non Cuban Cigar - FoH/MoFo Ninfa (Hoping it is released this year, I smoked the 1 I had and it was standing its ground with the best cigar of the year for me (HU2 (2018)) Best cigar (date period 2021-2023) Cuban Cigar - again...Partagas Legados, been very impressed with this stick Non Cuban Cigar - Would also side with the Oliva Serie V Lancero, however that stick has been around pre-2021. Anything super super new in the NC world I haven't sampled much. What I have sampled, hasn't been great aside from the Nudie line. The upcoming BR 109 is an absolute 95 pointer straight out of the box. Guess that means, I'm nominating the BR 109. Cigar Person of the Year. I'm not a fan of his cigars, but Rocky Patel...I have to agree with this nomination as well. Good on Rocky to flip the bird to Uncle Sam, as have others, perhaps just not as publicly.
