El Presidente Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Cigar Industry The Best-Selling Cigar Sizes In America Toros and other fatter smokes reign supreme Sep 21, 2023 | By Gregory Mottola CONTINUED 1
NSXCIGAR Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 We define toros as any cigar measuring 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 inches long, with ring gauges from 46 to 59. Those are the dimensions of 50% of the HSA portfolio...
Chas.Alpha Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Anything over a 52 is either a man with an inferiority complex, or someone that wants to impress his friends… 🙄 1

IMHO…😳 Expand I agree for the most part, but on the other hand, extremely full bodied blends benefit greatly by being watered down. For example, I thoroughly enjoy The Tabernacle by Foundation, but they're borderline unsmokable in smaller rg. Far too bitter, too much pepper, just an all around brute of a cigar. Foundation blends thier toro to 6x52 and thier double corona to 7x54. 52 does well, but 54 is the best for my taste. I don't like going over 50 for almost anything, but there's some really enjoyable stuff out there if you're willing to experiment. I could also be biased since I happen to be smoking one of thier "double coronas" at the current moment 😉 1
bmac Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Love the Nudie Canonazo at 6 and 52.Have 3 or 4 bundles and plan to buy a wheel

Expand Taken on face value, that outcome is just bad blending. Rule of thumb, you can have the same "ish" outcome/blend within 3 ring gauges. You can't however do a same blend/outcome for a Lancero and a 52. 1

It is a great cigar.
