Wow.  Your description is nothing like the pilots I smoked.  In fact, I powered through a fresh bundle pretty quickly.  Reminded me of the 1964 Padron principe but with minimal or no pepper.  Even with the power of suggestion, I didn't get the Monte 4 meets Party Short described by Rob. And it certainly wouldn't be confused for any CC I've had. But what you're describing is nothing like what I experienced.  I found them smooth, rich, and tasty.  To each their own, I guess.

Well I still have a few left so I'll have to revisit in another 6mo or so.  Funny you should mention padron...I'm not really a fan of their cigars.  Most Nicaraguan puros have the same overwhelming earth/dirt/pepper taste that I don't like.  Yep my tastes are real weird considering how popular Padrons are!

Perhaps it may be that "mile high" air Denver is infamous for? 😁

Well this review is certainly against the average...have you checked your humidity levels? proper cutting technique? Did you use a soft flame?  Perhaps engaged with a therapist to reconcile your deep feelings of inadequacy? Lots to chew on here

My storage is fine lol.  Seems off the grain since no one has anything bad to say about the nudies?  Do you really believe everyone loves em?  People have different tastes so you'd think some people wouldn't like em right?

Guess I'm one of those people - I'm not one to bullshit or kiss ass (probably could've further enhanced my career if I was...haha)

Either way, this one cigar on that day was terrible for me. Think I had one previously and it was still below average for me but not this bad.

I happen to love this cigar and heartily wish I had bought more. Sorry the OP’s experience was not great.
