Stock Update 18 August 23

We have beeen advised by PCC (Habanos distributors) that pipeline stock supply is on the improve. There will apparently be greater breadth and depth of stock lines as we move into the last quarter of 2023. 

Now, this could all be another false dawn. You can barely find a Cuban cigar in global duty free right now albeit the situation in European LCDH's appears to have improved over the past couple of months. Current Havana LCDH  reports aren't all that encouraging. 

Let's put it in perspective. Much of the world is still out of Monte 4's. 

Still, we just may see some DC/898/Regionals and specialties over the next few months. Habanos and distributors appear to have swallowed the Koolaide. This is the most positive I have seen them since last August......which of course is a month after the annual Havana distributor marketing meeting. The positive vibes tend to disappear by September 

I am no cigar grinch however! I look forward to dancing naked in a warehouse full of 898/winston/Hoyo DC/MDO4/QD Corona etal. It will be like Willy Wonka's chocolate factory albeit carb free. 

I had better call a staff meeting this morning. "Come my minions, we need to prepare" .

More stock and no price moves sound positive.

Reflected on the price / stock situation recently and came to the unexpected conclusion that the cigar I miss most is actually a good El Principe. Used to love one in the morning with a coffee. I’ve only been able to find them in the UK recently and it breaks my heart and wallet to pay >$25USD a stick, so my stock has completely ran dry. 

Some of the Davidoff Sig / Enteracto vitolas are closest NC’s I’ve found to date, but they’re not the same. I’m kinda hoping that the Nudie PC with a little age can scratch the same itch. I’ve been loving the lancero to date, so fingers crossed.
