Love the analysis and reading how such a classic came to be.  No doubt tailoring to Willis made the hero more accessible to the masses than the likes of Bond.

All-around fantastic movie. I’d seen bits and pieces of it as a kid, but actually didn’t sit down and watch it whole until I was in college. Blew me away! I called up my Dad and said “Why didn’t we watch this together when I was a teenager????” His reply was a smug “Son, by the time you were a teenager I had already seen it fifteen times.” 😄

Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman, nobody else could have perfectly portrayed those two. I feel the same about Jeremy Irons in the third one. My wife and I watch it every Christmas. Not trying to debate anything here… to us, it is a Christmas movie.

Great analysis, and fun to read!

Alan Rickman was a great actor and he killed it in Die Hard.

A classic Christmas movie. I've read bits and pieces of the novel Die Hard was based on, and to be honest, it was ok but not great. The movie on the other hand, classic action film that has managed to stand the test of time.

One of my favorite behind the scenes parts of the movie is that they released Rickman on his fall sequence without warning him.  So his reaction was very authentic.
