I have a 2017 Davidoff limited run "art edition" and i'm almost too afraid to smoke any of the cigars. Is this thing too valuable to smoke? It's pretty neat looking and i picked it up randomly in 2019.

There really isn't a secondary market for these AFIAK.  As for value, these releases were priced on the high side to begin with so I don't know how much more room there is for them to grow financially.  IMO, enjoy them if you got them for a decent price.

Smoke away. They’re excellent cigars.

I 2nd this. Unless you know a completist Davidoff fan, these aren't worth anything past original MSRP. Any retailer that still has 2017 releases is either crazy or inefficient, I hope you got them disco in 2019.

Great cigar tho, I had one in 2018. Tres Davidoff.

I’ve smoked a number of the art edition vintages and they’ve all been very solid. Better depth and less Olor flavor (or whatever that Davidoff twang is) than standard releases.

2016, the blue band perfecto - I have about 8 or 9 left and I wouldnt sell them even if someone offered me $80 each.  One of my favorite smokes

2017, havnt smoked it yet, but this gives me enough nudge to find it in my box and light it up

So I say light it up or wait for a special occasion or some great weather

Thanks all. I didn't know if I was angering the cigar gods by smoking these, or if they were truly a limited collector piece. I picked them up randomly in 2019 so they should be nice and aged for a good smoke. I really like the art and looking forward to the cigars.

Don’t wait too long. The 2014 version has already peaked to my palette.
