The poll question reflects an email I received overnight.

I have had some recent poor tasting results with these and am questioning my biases.

Help us out with your opinion.  :ok:

I wanted to love the Senadores but only found myself whelmed. Kind of feel that is the EL ceiling for me though going back to the fireproof Monte D.

My experience with the Supremos was better and think they have more potential. Have not had the RA, but learning EL just aren't for me.

When they were first released monte was the standout cigar, but honestly the senadores came along really nicely since then and at this point I would choose it over the supremos

Completely agree with this assessment!

I was going to add much the same as @LizardGizmo. Honestly, I must have a good box also because the Ramon Allones Allones No.2 has been smoking really, really well for me of late...much better than when I initially acquired the cigars.

RA2 were best when fresh, had one last week, they are not lucky enough IMO, Monte Supremos and Senadores are better.

Senadores is my pick if it's 2027.

I actually think the RA 2 was a bit better than I let on. It was actually better than good. But the Monte was very good. The RA 2 blend stuck me as like a very good regular production level quality. I would definitely buy that cigar in regular production and I wish the RA 3 had that blend. But the Monte was a step above where you would expect special production to be.

Just my 2 cents. If you have the supremos smoke them now ! Do not wait another another year or another 5. That blend will turn into powder.

They definitely seemed very ready to smoke IMO. Very refined. Tasted like a well-aged Double Edmundo. And we know modern Montes seem to peak at about 7-10 years. So I wouldn't argue with smoke them sooner than later.

Hey I love them in the short term . I will never age Monte especialy LE again ...for me the Monte blend just does not age. Monte 2 , petit Edmundo, Edmundo 4's .....18 months and they have melded perfectly so I smoke them. I do have some sleek silhouette Especial No 1  from 14 and 96 which are an exception . Unfortunatly even the tubos (long Corona) I have from 14 have  flattened out considerably.
