I watched this sell not so long ago in the UK, I remember thinking it was a blunder.  Would have loved to have had this in my future study/smoking room. 

I different time, when even the most humdrum of objects was drop dead gorgeous.

I've only had Cuban Bacardi once and that was like 30 years ago!  It was a clear rum that a friend got while cleaning out someone's house.
