El Presidente Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Shouldn't you blend a wine to go with cigars? I am not even sure it is possible to do it the other way around. ACE Prime Blends A Cigar To Pair With Wine Pairing cigars and wine isn’t always easy, but ACE Prime thinks it’s found the right match. A new, regular-production line called Mas Igneus by Luciano is making an appearance at this weekend’s PCA trade show, and the Nicaraguan brand is named after a winery in Spain. CONTINUED
Chibearsv Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Maybe it’s possible since it’s only meant for one specific wine? 1
dominattorney Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 I've always liked Psd4 with full bodied reds. Had a plmc with a nice Sav blanc last night and it was perfect. 1
MrBirdman Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 A cross-promotional marketing gimmick. If a cigar is blended such that it can only be enjoyed with a specific pairing, you haven’t made a good cigar. If a smoker needs to buy a wine-tailored cigar just to enjoy the two together, it’s probably not the best combination for your palate. But I certainly won’t judge - to each his own! 1

Yes, except, realising that they would have painted themselves into a corner with a purely one-to-one match, While M de Mas Igneus is the intended pairing, Meirelles says that these cigars can be paired with other wines from the Mas Igneus portfolio. So, they have managed to make the blend in 4 vitolas amenable to matching with both a Cab blend and a white grenache. These guys must be good. 5
NapaNolan Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Mas Igneus is a great winery...but I'm not sold on red wine and cigars, or even really wine and cigars.
