Puros Y Vino Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 As a UK Regional they won't be cheap but will probably be more affordable than Cohibas. https://www.cigars-connect.com/first-appearance-ramon-allones-private-stock-230-re-great-britain-2020/ 50 x 170mm (6¾″) 3600 25 count box production. 1 3
El Presidente Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 That is a good size indeed. Maybe one of the UK lads can let us know the proposed pricing. 2

99call Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 The stuff that I've seen looks very claro for RA, but in the full run I imagine there will be every shade, such is QC and scarcity of wrapper
Popular Post avaldes Posted June 8, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 8, 2022 Is it just me or do others find it tacky that Habanos keeps recycling classic cigar names on today's large ring gage? It would have been way cooler to bring a Private Stock back as a lonsdale. 5

I agree, theres something slightly bloated and awry, when you can see good portions of the side of the bands, when looking face on at the cigar That said any nod of cap to heritage should be commended........it could be worse they could have satin foot bands

That's a huge jump compared to La Reina which came out less then 3 years ago at approx. £30 each and Britannicas which was also £30 eachI thought they'd be around the £40-45 mark. cookj1 Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 I have a few already and have to say they didn’t blow my socks off. I’m waiting to revisit to see if time helps, which it should. I remember thinking that it wasn’t a typical RA flavour profile.

Sent from my SM-G975F using TapatalkIt's a massive jump but I think they'll still sell out. La Reina jumped up to £1400 a box anyway, I think they aim to kill the huge profits flippers are making. It'll be interesting to see if some of the more price friendly UK shops are this high.Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk 1

I agree with you, but blame should be placed on the right individuals. H&F has largely nailed their Limited Releases though, so its hard to beat them up too much. I'm guessing this will be another grand slam for them. 3

As mentioned, with RE's the distributor does get to call the shots but I've heard of two cases where there was a compromise. The La Escepcion Selectos Finos was supposed to be a Lancero. Habanos talked them down to a Dalia and the Don Jose was originally announced as a Churhill; talked down to a robusto. So, perhaps their really isn't that much for distributors to choose from? Or they "like" some more than others? On a similar note. I wasn't happy about the 2014 EL Partagas Sellecion Privada being a different vitola. But I must admit, that the cigar was an amazing one nonetheless. One I regret not going deep on.
