RDB Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Nice. Love an honest review of a fancy cigar / bottle of wine etc. I am in the camp of ‘leave all Cohiba at least three years’ though. They are still erratic, but they seem to benefit more than most other cigars from time down. Anyone know why that might be? 1
djmatty Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 So I happened to procure a box with the same code from our host. These will rest for some time. Thanks for the review!
BlueRidgeFly Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Had a Siglo IV LGR JUN 17 a few days ago, and I had almost the exact same impression as Rob and Ken here. First third meh, last two thirds pretty nice. Good cigar, disappointing for the $. 2
LLC Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Love Siglo IV’s but haven’t had any recent production ones as most of my boxes are older.
riderpride Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Thanks gents Haven't had one in nearly a decade and not in a rush to buy any. Surely won't pay CAD prices for a single, and unfortunately they've been tough to find as singles on my journeys to the island. Fortunately many other options remain. Cheers 2
MrBirdman Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Young Siglo IV can be downright unpleasant, and while they improve with age I’m just not a big fan. Take the III over it any day. 2

Popular Post coug28 Posted April 29, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 29, 2022 Some of the best cigars I’ve smoked have been from an 09 SLB of Sig IVs. Siglos are finesse cigars. Tannins and rough edges when young ruin the experience. Proper age, and I’m in the 5+ years camp, brings the vanilla, citrus & cream to the forefront. Siglos are IMO not for those who lean to the bold/darker flavored cigars. Siglos brilliance is in their subtlety - and for me, that doesn’t come when these are smoked young. 6
