Nice review.

The Trova & Fundy blends have gotten softer & softer over time, IMO. I always finish both wanting for more complexity & power.

I’ve only had one, but it was very much like this. Very good quality construction and leaf, quite mild. Still interesting and pleasurable.

Maybe it’s the box I have , but the Trova are not light for me. Full flavour and super smooth.
I have several other boxes so I will check on them when I crack them.

You don't happen to be a fan of Mag 50 and Wide Churchills do you? <_<

I prefer regular Churchill and mag 46.
Mind you I really like the Esmeralda

Wow, well, both of those are much stronger than the La Trova. After an Esmeralda the La Trova tastes like straight air to me... maybe you got a rich batch.

Matches my experience, will have another La Trova soon to confirm.

You must have got some flat ones
I would however agree that the Esmeralda are stronger than la Trova. I just would never call them airy
