I know we've done a lot of threads about 3 up/3 down and also things that you like/don't like at the moment. This is to get more at the question of "what is smoking well while young" vs "what needs more time" with a focus on the first question more. If this topic feels redundant, I am fine with closing it. 

I'll go first. Current runs of with a box code from the past year/2 years that I've enjoyed lately: 

- BPC. These are great young right now from my experience.

- Monte 2. Every Monte 2 I have had lately has been spot on. Probably their best runs in a bit in my opinion.

- Partagas Shorts. I've always felt these are great out of the box. Currently have a cab to see what evolution will come of them, but they're my go to "out of the box" cigar and have been for a while (and the minuto size helps with it being cold AF here).

Had partagas shorts that was a little too harsh first couple of months, but great after some months. Like them better fairly young than really aged

rass can be great from early on too

I have a ENE 20 box of Qdo 50's that were very tannic and sour in their youth. Now it's a 92 cigar all day long with cream, vanilla and buttery flavors. I have noticed that most of robustos that I have (JL2,D4,RASS) have been straight fire right out of the gate.

PSD4 from ‘20 and ‘21 are just outstanding. I smoked a AGO21 TAO Tuesday evening (3 months of humidor post receiving it from FOH), and it was a reminder of why I fell in love with the D4 years ago. Spot on in every category… burn, construction, draw, flavor and strength. 
 

I’ll also pitch in with @Ford2112 on young RASS. They are ‘on fire’ in ‘21 (no pun intended). The flavor on these is straight on Christmas cake loaded with dark fruit. 
 

Both of these sticks are in my daily rota. When they are on 24:24 with PSP or HQ designation, I go deep.

Good to know. I am sitting on a box of TUA JUN 21's that I am trying hard not to open too early.

Hesitant to reply. The Punch Short de Punch are excellent, so much so that as fast as I can type they’re gone on 24/24! Rich and flavorful. Best of the recent lot, IMHO. 😀

Agree completely. I thought they were “under the radar”, but they’ve gone very quickly every time 😕

Rass and cortado, Lately I just can’t find a better combination. Specialty select are showing up absolutely perfect.
