So I happened to be poking around in the LCDH storeroom and this caught my eye. I picked it up and was stunned. Apparently these came in 10s for a period of time? Ever seen this @ATGroom?

Damn, I should have got that. I'm not a bar code guy so it didn't occur to me. 

The box itself was actually nice--lightly varnished with the convex sides. I'll look next week. I'm sure it will be there. 

There were two of them that I saw. We might be looking at something very rare!

Yes according to that thread:

"OK guys I'll share the story as it was told to me by the owner of a reputable LCdH. He also had a box (not for sale) that we had a look at while walking through the stockroom.

Officially the Connie 1 is a 25 box count only of course. But for the Habanos Festival in 2014 they made 10ct boxes of Connie 1. Those original boxes have the festival bands on the cigars. 

Apparently they made far to many boxes. According to the 'offical' story after the festival they ripped off the extra bands (my guess is they just filled the extra boxes with normal production) and the boxes found their way into retail. 

An interesting story? and I would never imagine this LCdH risking their reputation over 1 box which wasn't even for sale. "

And the serial/barcode in that case checked out.

Nice find. I'm sure not coincidentally David also owns Cozumel and Cancun. He must have been sent a ton at the time.

Apparently the code checked out and so this is a legitimate regular production release although the code in that thread shows SPB and these are SBN. 

Regardless these seem like something at least relatively rare. Maybe a few hundred boxes ever produced? 

I should pick them up and throw one on BR...

Saw these on the Partagas Factory shelves during Havanathon in November 2016. Never did get the story on why they were in 10s, but there they were. In retrospect I should have picked a box up, but I was focused on the JL PCs they had at the time instead.

I also saw these at Partagas in 2016.

That had a stack of them.

I think I grabbed 4 or 5 boxes,

Internal HSA docs I have list a discontinued Connossieur (note spelling) No.1 in SPB-S-n-n-n-10 as a duty free exclusive. (no indication of dates)

SPB is Special Box which covers any remotely unusual box, including the ones with the convex sides like that.

Google brings up two boxes with the festival bands on sale, also with PMU FEB 14 codes.

Would be interesting to know if your box has festival bands or not @NSXCIGAR. The thread from 2017 also doesn't show the bands, so it's not totally clear if those boxes had the 2nd bands or not.

Anyway, the story checks out. These were at one time a legit HSA product. I'll add them to CCW.

I'll definitely look and record the bar codes also.

I did find it odd that the two boxes were right on the front shelf in the storeroom as if  they had been taken out for a purpose. If they are still there next week I'll ask if I can buy them.

Ah, yes. I saw SPB and thought "semi-plain box" which is of course CB.

Well, I went down to see if I could take another look but someone called them specifically wanting those boxes and bought them a few days ago. I'm sure it's not a coincidence and someone saw them here. I should have grabbed them at the time but I had no idea what the heck they were. 

Congrats to whoever got them. He said he didn't have any more in any of the other stores so I would imagine those are the last of the Mohicans.
