El Presidente Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 It's tight at the top! Up and down season so far for most teams. are KC back? Is the Colt's form as red hot as it appears? Connoisseur Kim Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 I was surprised that I performed really well on Week 11 compared to other weeks, since I was kept hitting rock bottom after Week 6 (had some finger inflamtion for quite long period of time). I hope that I'll survive in the Week 12 as well.
Bijan Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 I did terribly this week. I was too busy and ended up picking the home team on all games, while thinking I was picking the favoured team... 1

Thanks @El Presidente! Finger inflamation was nasty, but thankfully it disappeaerd quickly after took some anti inflamation pills. I was meant to say I got most correct picks on Week 11 compared to other weeks (with some luck IMHO). I hope that I'll get the same result as Week 11 in Week 12 😄.
El Presidente Posted November 23, 2021 Author Posted November 23, 2021 Thanks for the clarifaction ....for the record...I picked you as a kicker 1

I surprised that I became a huge NFL fan after participating in FOH Fantasy Football comp, since NFL isn't popular in Korea comapre to football and baseball (watch highlights mostly due to massive time zone difference). 1
Tstew75 Posted November 25, 2021 Posted November 25, 2021 Happy to have reached 1st, even if only for a hot minute. This is a tough game, and you seemingly must nail 1-2 underdog pics weekly to ascend. 2
NSXCIGAR Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 Well @Ken Gargett, if WFT doesn't give the kid a contract they're nuts. He's your guy for years to come. Haven't watched him play a full game in a few weeks until tonight but he's grown significantly since last month. Taking the checkdowns, not sacrificing his body and less injuries, not forcing the ball to anyone, evading sacks well, good leadership. I think he's your franchise guy. 1

I think he's your franchise guy. last three weeks, he has been excellent. i think he deserves a shot. he is already contracted for next year so he has plenty of time to establish himself or we can see if it was a flash in the pan. might prove to be the best bargain in the game for a while. cheaper than rodgers, dak and mahomes et al, anyway. three weeks ago, we were all discussing how high a draft pick we'd get. now, if the season finished, we'd be in the playoffs. we can even take top spot from the cowgirls! but spare me, they try and find new ways to lose games each week. how we got out of this one (and that one against the giants and a few others) is beyond me. no one in the team can take a 20 yard FG? seriously? what is wrong with these people.

There are #1 picks that haven't played as good over 12 games. Most of them in fact. Who would you rather have right now--Heinicke or Burrow? Heinicke or Mayfield? He's got more yards than Burrow and about the same TD/INT. And his first game was a playoff game against Brady and he's even beaten Brady this year. I've seen enough. His style isn't indicative of flash in the pan/feast or famine. He's steady. Steady can win championships. Brady was nothing more than steady for his first 5 years. Obviously, he isn't going to be the reason a team will win but there are only a couple of those guys. And Rodgers hasn't exactly single-handedly led a team to a title lately. Build the team around him and with a good defense they can absolutely win a super bowl. And yes, he'll be dirt cheap. 10 million a year for a top 15 QB? Peanuts. That frees up 20 million. Tannehill, Cousins and Wentz are all making $30 million for god's sake. I'd take Heinicke over all of them.

I'd take Heinicke over all of them. it is interesting. so few first round picks work out (QBs) and yet teams give up the farm for them. heinicke is on a two year contract with some incentives but basically just over $4 mill a year. there has been a heap of debate on the WFT forum about this - two blokes in particular have gone at each other all year, every day. bored the rest of us senseless. the non-supporter of TH is currently rephrasing things as he looks a bit silly. i did point out that i would much rather TH on peanuts than cousins on $30 mill plus, given what we can do with the spare cash. especially when you see cousins lined up behind the guard who does not have the ball. cousins is obviously a good QB but he is a bit of a statue and likes to pad the stats. he is the sort of QB who will always do well but never take you to the promised land. i'd suggest that without TH, we do not beat tampa or carolina. he did some great things in those games. he'll still make mistakes but the problem is that as soon as he does, he gets castigated while others do not. he has half a dozen games this year to lock in his spot. we might even be able to use some of the spare cash to find a kicker who can get the ball over the defence.

Exactly, and WFT isn't really in a position to draft a QB high. I don't understand the resistance to TH since they were actually going to go ahead with Fitz and somehow thought that was acceptable. Anyone think Fitz would have been better through 12 than Heinicke? Just to get a top 15-20 QB on the open market is going to cost 20 million. This kid is still flying under the radar. Lock him down and build to his strengths. For example I wouldn't get him an elite WR deep threat. He can't throw the ball like that. Get him an elite TE and an elite RB. Beef up his OL. 20 million can get you all that. He's never going to be an elite QB so forget that. But who is? I know it's been a while since a non-elite QB won a SB (I guess Foles but he had the game of his life) but it can be done. Flacco did it. Eli did it. TH is an opportunity to build the team another way. They need better defense and if they could get an elite RB they'd be in good shape.

TH is not that, but he does have mclaurin. and finally getting a few others back. samuels. in fairness, rypien was surrounded by one of the greatest teams of all time - no real superstars (darrell green perhaps) but brilliant players at every other position. TH does not have that.
