Popular Post Bill Hayes Posted October 25, 2021 Popular Post Posted October 25, 2021 Maybe it was the fact, as the most locked down city, gaining some freedoms to meet up with mates, but the JL#2 never fails to deliver for me. As I sat huddled from the wind in the public park in the middle of Caulfield Race course and ate hillbilly ban mei (pork sausage, pork crackle snacks, coleslaw and bbq sauce in a roll) after my JL#2 and Adroit Theory Imperial Stout, I realised why I love this cigar so much. Like the one a week earlier, it was rustic yet not bitter. You know you're smoking a cigar which is what I prefer. It delivered toasted notes with a hint of leather and dried fruits. And the unmistakeable Cuban twang that I find mostly in old school Partagas, some BBF, early Behike and Siglo 6 and JL. 16
RDB Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I like your style. I too occasionally go for the cigar-on-a-bench-with-a-beer look. But I need more tweed to truly compete. 1
jhalischuk Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Completely agree with "knowing you're smoking a cigar". I like to taste a bit of straight tobacco regardless of other flavours. 1
Juliano88 Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Current production of JL2's are legendary. Smoking well young with a lot of great aging potential. Definitely stocking up on 20/21 box codes. 1

Cheers I will have to try those, have had some of their other imperial stouts/IPAs over the years and loved them. They have a ridiculous amount of beers. Haven't been to the brewery since before Covid, I'm overdue! 1
