SCdLH La Fuerzas - RAT May 20 (JBWP4RW)

Smoked a La Fuerza a few nights ago.  I've only had one so far, but I remember it being a pretty good cigar with a strong flavor.  

1 - Def didn't do a very good job with lighting it from the picture above.  Used a smaller than I should piece of cedar and it was almost burning my fingers before I put it down.  Ended up having to correct it with a torch...anyways cigar opens up with a nice chocolatey sweetness which was much more prominent vs the monte 1 I had the day before and the monte 4 I had the day after.  The opening keeps up for a few inches before the flavor changes to a non-sweet bready note.  A little after, the sweetness returns to form a bready sweetness.  Hints of grass here and there

2 - Flavor returns to the original chocolate sweetness.  Keeps up till nearly the end of the third  and then I start getting a dark, rich, bready sweetness that reminds me of pancakes with maple syrup.  This is what I remember from my first la fuerza!  

3 - Cigar drops that syrup and most of that sweetness, so I'm left with a semi-sweet bread.  Sad the syrupy pancakes didn't last too long, but this third is still enjoyable and the cigar finishes off well.

Overall - 6/10 - Above average cigar that I need to consider picking up a box!  I think my last one was better with the pancake syrup flavor lasting longer, but this was still really good.  Not a fan of the principe and haven't had a la punta but not too big a fan of torpedo heads, so the la fuerza maybe the one box that I buy from this marca!

Been a steady regular rotation cigar for me for years. I will say I find 21s a little better than the 20s.

Got a box of the La Fuerza and it was all dessert for me. Was so impressed that I picked up a second.

I've had a few 'duds' since but overall, a seriously impressive cigar (I also got that pancake thing)

Nice review.

Big fan of the La Fuerza and smoke quite a few.

The La Punta is also a solid smoke. Wouldn't hesitate to reccomend it.

The Prado is the best SCdLH in my opinion.

I'm liking these too - solid cigar with molasses, syrupy sweetness. Some mild spice wafting in and out. Solid.

Yep I'm holding out for a HQ/PSP box to come up here or see if there's a good sale during black friday!  Def box worthy for me.  

I guess I'll have to try to get a prado at some point!  I am going to London soon, prob can grab a single....
