I haven’t had a SW since 2006. All three times I went to Cuba, the shopkeep said “you’ll more likely find Behike on the island. I found an example on the 2019 Christmas sampler on FOH, while chugging a pint at my local Irish pub.

That’s how I became an FOH...

Interesting answer from the Shopkeep.  I've found them regularly on the island.

How long were they in that sick period for?  You think due to shipping acclimation or just needed age?

3-6 months! No I had them for almost a year before they went sick. I think it’s just something that happens!

I wonder if the explanation for these sick periods can be found with abnormal bacterial/mold activity that produces unpleasant byproducts...

Possibly Cuba's best stick. I should really smoke them more lol

Just found multiple boxes of freshies out in the wild, bought them blind. Can't wait to see them!

Ah wow thanks, good to know!  Knowing me, I'd think it was me and would waste one smoking another sooner than later 🤦‍♂️

Interesting point. This happens to me as well where a box will go in and out of being 'on'. I always chock this up to varying quality/blend between the sticks in the box. Who knows...🤷‍♂️
