FOH Charity Fundraiser Forum

We receive requests from time to time from members for permission to solicit the FOH community for donations to various causes. 

Some (most) of those causes are very worthwhile. 

We have always been reluctant to allow such requests as it could quickly degenerate into raising funds for the daughters soccer team or the fin operation for the pet goldfish. Before long it would be a log jam of requests. 

Still, there are some really worthwhile causes and if we can provide a service we should endeavor to do so. 

What has been agreed upon as a trial is a FOH Charity Fundraiser Forum where:

•  Members proposing must have a minimum of 150 posts. 
• - No political causes.
• - Donations direct to Registered Charities Only.
• - Member proposing must be approved (registered) by the charity to raise money for the charity.

Again, this will be a seperate forum and not one that will clog up the day to day operations of the waterhole. 

let us know your thoughts if we have got this about right.

Definitely something that would fit well within the FOH charter. Kindness and camaraderie. I usually have a fiver left at the end of most weeks, if my wife doesn’t get to it first! 
 

BTW, my gold fish is in desperate need of the aforementioned fin operation...😳
