smbauerllc Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Anyone tried the RyJ Club Kings? Its the only one of the 3 newer vitolas in tins I haven't tried yet.The Capitols were pretty good but not good enough for the price to me.The Regalias are better, but I'm still on the fence with their price.Curious what others feel about the Club Kings. Unless I'm thinking of something else I have only seen them in tins for about $60 per tin of 5 on average .Eta: just looked and the Capitols and Regalias I recently bought were both in tins.Without the cost of the tin factored in, they are probably much more in line price-wiseSent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Popular Post djrey Posted April 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 7, 2021 I've had one that was given to me. I found it just ok. First half was bland with traces of cherry then turned pretty bitter for the final half. The price on these is laughable imo and I would be shocked if they are selling. Buy a box of Partagas Shorts for under $5 a stick and call it a day. 5

Might be harder to find in boxes but Regalias in standard boxes of 25 are generally $150 or less. So definitely much less than with the tins. Ites Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 I've only had one RyJ club kings (Dec 19 code, smoked roughly a year later) and according to my notes it was good, but due to price I rated it "not worth it" when compared to the Mille Fleur which is the same size (BUP Feb 19). Where I'm at the Mille Fleur is about half the price of the club kings so it would also take quite a bit of flavour to weigh up cost/benefit imo. 2
Cairo Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 I have yet to have a R & J Mille Fleur with more than a hint of cherry. If that is all these are fuggedaboutit. So far I would pick any cheap Partagas or Upmann over the cheapie R & Js I have tried (Mille Fleur, PCs)--maybe someday I will smoke a good cheapie R & J that will change my mind. I am working on a box of Partagas Habaneros UER June 17 and Upmann Epicures LUB June 16 that have been on point for me. The Epicures are rarely discussed around here--they have been a great surprise. 1

If you like the epicures and want a solid RyJ cheapie try the Sports Largos similar format and cherry and Turkish delight. 2 1

Unfortunately don't by boxes for a few reasons, so am limited to singles and 3,4 and 5 packs of things On 4/8/2021 at 3:44 AM, Ites said: I've only had one RyJ club kings (Dec 19 code, smoked roughly a year later) and according to my notes it was good, but due to price I rated it "not worth it" when compared to the Mille Fleur which is the same size (BUP Feb 19). I really enjoy them and always have some in my stash, and they are pretty close to half the price of the 3 pc's in tins On 4/8/2021 at 5:56 AM, Cairo said: I have yet to have a R & J Mille Fleur with more than a hint of cherry. Interesting. I have enjoyed all the RyJ's I have ever tried, including the cheaper ones like the mille Fleurs, which I enjoy enough to always keep some in my stash. I wasn't even aware that there was an Upmann Epicure. Have never seen them anywhere in all of my browsing. Will have to Google them for sure. I almost got a couple of them to try with my most recent order, but just didn't for some reason. Maybe next time. Never see them mentioned anywhere which may have scared me off Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk 1
