LordAnubis Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 THe technology has been around forever in all types of preservation applications. Some bloke probably thought 15 years ago "ohh i bet i could sell this to cigar guys".. and suckers were born
Fuzz Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 Silica gel was patented by Walter A. Patrick at John Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland in 1919. The properties of silica have been known for far longer, dating back to the 17th century. 1
Fuzz Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 While Walter A. Patrick patented the synthetic process to manufacture silica gel, Roland Jacques patented the process to manufacture spherical silica gel in 1985, which to my understanding, is the current process to manufacture silica gel beads. He also has other papers and patents going back to the 1970s

El Presidente Posted March 5, 2021 Author Posted March 5, 2021 ....definitely a gaggle in this case Fuzz in the forefront 1
Akela3rd Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Legends....is it geniuses or genii The normal plural is "geniuses"; "genii" is not used in everyday language. The word "genius" does come from Latin, but it's gone through a long journey to get to English and its meaning has shifted quite a bit along the way. So it is pluralized according to the normal English pattern.Hours of research I tell you, hours....Sent by spooky action at a distance 1
