Partagas Lusitania 12DCRC

Setting: Mid-morning on 12/24/20, 19 F and sunny.

Paired with: Medium roast coffee with some sugar.

Cut: Colibri V-cut.

Pre-light: Great draw. 

First Third: Initial puffs included toasted tobacco notes. A slight sweetness emerged later in this third.

Second Third: Nothing notable.

Last Third: Mostly woodsy notes with a harsh/acridity right at the end near the band.

This was a time consuming and somewhat uneventful cigar. Box date was ABO SEP18 and they've been sitting in my wineador since February 2020. I was pretty disappointed and hoping that the few others from the same box will do better in the next few years.

I’m sorry to hear this was a dud! Mine from the sampler was amazing. Some of the 2018’s have been hit and miss for me

I find that a lot of sticks don't smoke so well at Temps thats cold.

Damn no gloves?  What's your heating setup look like?  I'm guessing it was a 2+hr smoke right?  Yep hope the next ones are better!

Temperature is definitely a factor, but I've had some decent smokes in the last couple weeks that have been about the same or colder.

No gloves, just sweatpants and a hoodie. The sun is my heater which limits me to only smoking in the morning during the winter, which is when the sun shines directly where I sit out back. 
 

I definitely prefer a shorter smoke when it’s cold. The 2+ hours were a struggle, particularly because the cigar wasn’t great.
