Popular Post MrBirdman
This was an Ezzie from my current stash, same box code and date as the sampler though and with sufficient rest. This was another frustrating example of a cigar that can be sublime when it’s on. Loose draw and standard cold Trini flavors. 1st Third: Slightly nutty cream, a little sugar cookie, but overall rather bland. Smoke production good, unlike my last one 2nd Third: Flavors intensify but only slightly. I start getting a curious minty sensation - I don’t like it. It’s almost mentholy - as in Newport’s Final Third: Very little evolution and change, although the minty flavor has diminished. Overall, I have to admit that while smoking this I thought to myself more than once “I’d rather have a Coloniales right now, even with it’s slightly rougher edge.” Not good for a cigar costing twice the price. I have definitely had a few of these that are spectacular but they’ve also been the most inconsistent premium cigar I’ve smoked in 2020. Hopefully just the box I’ve been smoking out of, I’ll be interested to see if the sampler Ezzie with same code smokes similar once it’s rested. 87
