Popular Post ChangBang
It's finally been about 3 months since I got my first order from FOH, so I'm going through more cigars I got from the petit corona sampler pack! No duplicates so hopefully these will leave me with a good idea on how the marca's smoke and what else I need to spend money on lol. Up first is the Rafael GONZALEZ Petit Corona Right off the bat the draw isn't good - I haven't had the best luck with these petit coronas and having a good draw, so that's been unfortunate. Poked it a couple times with my draw tool and it became a little looser but smoke output still wasn't too great. Always something new - 1 thing I haven't encountered are flame proof cigars! This would not stay lit even though I've been keeping them at 65/65 for the past 3 months. Outside temps were probably around 55F and 30ish humidity with little to no wind. The flavors I could detect are some sweet and woody/cedary notes. I did my best to soldier on and was able to reach the band - still had to relight(not touchups, straight up relights!) it probably 5 or 6 times throughout? I'm sure it's not a characteristic of the marca, but it'll be a while till I plan on buying another RG sadly. Score - 3/10. So far on the petit corona pack (I wasn't patient enough to wait): Bolivar PC - 6/10 PLPC - 5.5/10 Monte no.4 - 5.5/10 R&J Cedros No 3 - 5/10 Trinidad Coloniales - 4/10 RG PC - 3/10 Still have the hupmann corona major and RyJ PC on deck! SCgarman
You must have got a dud. Typically the Rafael Gonzalez PC is a consistently well made cigar and a great value for the price compared to other over priced marcas. I have gone through plenty of boxes and like them a lot. Damn, well my self-control has been terrible maybe if I see a good deal I'll be tempted lol. Is the PC the best in the line or I've heard good things about the perlas? I've had better luck with the perlas and when they're on sale a really good value and by far the most affordable Perla out there.

NSXCIGAR
I always find the Perlas superior to the PC. And the price is always right.
ChangBang
I guess if I see a really good deal I'll pull the trigger! Maybe 1/4 a box will turn up in a 24:24 sometime.

Maybe 1/4 a box will turn up in a 24:24 sometime. Just buy a box. Perlas are only around $100, Petit Coronas can be had for $160, cheaper when on sale.
ChangBang
Haha I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need to size up or buy another wineador! Really limiting new purchases to cigars that I've had or think I'll really enjoy. We'll see if there are any black friday or cyber monday cigar deals that pushes me over the edge ?
