The stock exhaust valves opon fully in Dynamic mode above 3000 revs and always open in Race. It's a raucous symphony. With an Alfa Romeo, the 5 year factory warranty is valuable asset. I wouldn't want to threaten it with any mods 3
Chibearsv Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Dumb questions: What's the purpose of the transparent wrap? Do you have any worries about the wrap degrading in the future whether by scratch or by nature or age?

Do you have any worries about the wrap degrading in the future whether by scratch or by nature or age? I put PPF (Paint Protection Film ) on high end vehicles. The Scrubs team is the best at doing it in this city. There are plenty of cowboy operations. In short; protects paint from rock chips, gravel rash, minor scratches. Top end PPF is self healing to minor abrasions. The PPF applied to my car will last 10 years. End of that time, team will slowly peel it off, wash, and the car paint should be showroom new condition. 1

Protects the paint from chips and and such, all the pebbles flying on the highway hit the car and especially with higher end cars the paint can be very expensive to touch up. Also protects from scratches by inconsiderate people lol. I take two of my cars to a lot of car shows and the fact that I have them both ppf'd has definitely saving me a lot of worrying and money. Both are peppered on the hood (as they are both low to the ground) thankfully none of that has gotten through the ppf to the actual paint. 2 hours ago, El Presidente said: The stock exhaust valves opon fully in Dynamic mode above 3000 revs and always open in Race. I wouldn't want to threaten it with any mods Oh yeah haha valid point about keeping the Alfa under warranty🤣 I've driven that car a bunch of times and it does sound absolutely intoxicating in race. I'm doing the same thing with my cayenne GTS, Sport Plus it sounds great but I'm not risking the warranty with an exhaust or tune there. @@El Presidente these 2 are out of warranty so I feel free to do as I please. 1 1

We drive some gravel roads to visit my wife's family's farms, so I've just surrendered to the inevitable paint dings, windshield stars/spiders, and flat tires. If she knows we're headed for a farm, her car stays home of course. 1

I thought it was so cool when it was first shown, in the days of the Dodge Prowler and Chrysler Pronto Cruizer (which became the PT Cruiser). Design (I now see as) horrific. Looks like a long hood version of an SC430. 1

Was a great car at the time and I had a lot of fun in it (horrendous torque steer) but the design didn't age well at all. I find the older sc300 and sc400 more attractive now than the newer sc430. 2
