Popular Post teamrandr Posted September 18, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 18, 2020 The wrapper looks quite nice for a stick this old. Nice Colorado brown with some water spots here and there. Still has some sheen to it which is a good sign. The aroma at cold is faint but very pleasant. No old paper smell. Sugar cookies mixed with Graham cracker and honey. Slight floral Jasmin note. I have waited to put this to the flame. I figure there is no better time than the present. 1/3 Opening draws are perfect. Just a touch of resistance. Super light in body. The sugar cookie flavor is setting it off. Retrohale is smooth as can be. Slight clove fllavor lingering on the back end. No edges at all. Just wonderful aged tobacco here. This one is going to take a long time to smoke. I retro each draw as it is just so smooth and really highlights the sugar cookie flavor. The flavor is picking up in complexity. Slight herbal tea flavor is mixing in with the sugar cookies. So cloves, herbal tea, sugar cookie are the starters. Each draw leaves me contemplating. 2/3 Still super light in body. The type of cigar you must pair with water or a sparkling water. In comes a ginger snap flavor. Ever so subtle but it mixes in well with the herbal tea. Almost just tastes like a ginger green tea graham cracker at this point. Absolutely a wonderful experience. 1/2 way Graham cracker flavor is taking over. This is welcomed. In comes a bit of cocoa. Slight pickup in body. There is a bit of dark cherry/chocolate here and there. So graham, herbal tea undertones, all mingling with the cherry dark chocolate flavor. Again very subtle and light in body. I made sure to smoke this one in the morning. I am getting excited about the last half. I have had to touch it up a few times. Final 3rd The body is slightly deeper. I am amazed at the array of flavors. A really nice cola soda flavor is mixing in with dark cherry. Gone is the herbal tea and sugar cookies. It is making me nostalgic. The flavor is reminiscent of this cola flavored bubble gum I used to buy at the local corner store as a kid. Just wonderful and the experience is is fitting. I am sitting outside on a brisk sunny morning in Michigan. As it moves into nub status is does get a bit hot and picks up a tannic flavor. I put it down and split it open to see the filler tobacco. What a great example of a super aged cigar done right. An experience that has left me feeling very good about the rest of today. Score:95 Had to touch it up a few times and the nub was not a good finish. Still around blew me away. Sadly this is my last one. 28
