Popular Post El Presidente Posted August 2, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 2, 2020 I have only seen one box in my time (discontinued 1970's) and it had an alfoil wrap from the band up to the cap. from CCW Giant Perfecto 47 X 232 mm 6 2
DeskSmkr Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 Monte A - eat your heart out. Aesthetically, the band placement looks nice.

After ~50+ years, I bet that cigar has significantly shrunk. Being a perfecto, I bet the band just got super loose, and is pictured in the spot where it's still snug.
teamrandr Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 That is where they placed it. Nice presentation with the foil. But not sure why wrap only half? Photo is from CCW 1
westg Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 Would be something to see. Wish they made a perfecto half that size today
NSXCIGAR Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 Interesting that these seem not to have had the foil at all since the foil and band appear to be a single unit similar to the Boli GM. Perhaps late versions omitted the foil. Looks like the 1972-1979 manufacturing stamp, so it would be among the last of these produced. Note to HSA: bring back the Manolin vitola.
