Riverstyx Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Or wait until it's completely gone (which could take weeks)? Is it worth it? What say you? I know I usually have one too early and it just prolongs the healing process
wineguy Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 If it was me I would wait. My body usually tells me what to do based on how I am feeling and when sick I usually don't have a desire for a cigar. 1
Homer Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 I would wait. You can`t smell normally anyway. Any kind of smoke irritates the nasal mucosa. But what do I know. I am only rhinologist. 2
Markspring1978 Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Don’t listen to the doctors. I find that the smoke knocks out the last bit of the sinus infection. It’s a miracle cure! But, for this to be effective, I usually apply a little bit of snake oil to the tip of my nose before I light up. 1 1
TheFullMontecristo Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 if smell and taste buds are back to normal then fire one up.
Skypilot Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Agreed, if you still can’t smell and taste I would wait. No point in wasting a stick
Fuzz Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Not the same as you; I'm just coming off the tail end of the flu, but still a respiratory illness. Been more than 6 weeks since my last cigar. Gonna be another 2 weeks before I consider lighting up again, as I still feel a little something in my lungs. No point in impacting/delaying your recovery by having a cigar. Get back to 100% first... then work on breaking that number back down again.
