Or wait until it's completely gone (which could take weeks)?  Is it worth it?  What say you?

I know I usually have one too early and it just prolongs the healing process

If it was me I would wait.  My body usually tells me what to do based on how I am feeling and when sick I usually don't have a desire for a cigar.

I would wait. You can`t smell normally anyway. Any kind of smoke irritates the nasal mucosa. But what do I know. I am only rhinologist.

Don’t listen to the doctors. I find that the smoke knocks out the last bit of the sinus infection. It’s a miracle cure! But, for this to be effective, I usually apply a little bit of snake oil to the tip of my nose before I light up.

Not the same as you; I'm just coming off the tail end of the flu, but still a respiratory illness. Been more than 6 weeks since my last cigar. Gonna be another 2 weeks before I consider lighting up again, as I still feel a little something in my lungs.

No point in impacting/delaying your recovery by having a cigar. Get back to 100% first... then work on breaking that number back down again. :P
