Just had my first la gloria cubana no 4 and it was awesome! I don't see them much and was wondering if they still make them? I need to grab a box!

They haven't made them in over a year unfortunately.

Not discontinued. Just not being made.

There were five hundred thousand (500000) sticks produced for the Spanish La Gloria Cubana Serie D No.5 Regional Edition the year before. That's probably where the leaf went. Regional Editions nearly always are produced at a maximum of one hundred thousand (100000) sticks.

It’s a great smoke, in a super unfashionable vitola: the slim panatela. Strong contender for my ‘if you could only smoke one cigar forever’...

I’m curious if the No. 4 has that “bubble gum” element I’ve read about in LGC so much. I had my first LGC a week ago...an Orgullosos...which definitely had the Big Bazooka bubble gum taste wafting in and out. I have to admit I didn’t find it very appealing.

If you like this I would suggest the PLMC as a sub for it. IMHO it’s even better ....and easily accessible but that just me.

Juicy Fruit is my go to description for the secondary 'fruity' element of the MdO #4, sometimes agave. Graham cracker is the more dominant flavor in most of my notes.

Excellent stick when done right. I have had half a dozen box code samples. Imo they need 5 years minimum and then they are an 80min slice of heaven. Fear not... Bond Robert's will soon be here to the rescue. I see MdO4s on the auction site about twice a month going for roughly $250 for 5+ years. It's a bargain! I have 2 boxes marinating myself.

I had one last month from a ETP MAY 17 partial box I was able to find in Santiago de Cuba. Easily the top 3 cigar I’ve ever had. Razor burn. Wonderful, rich smoke. Delightful flavors.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone buying these. ?
