Popular Post Rhinoww Posted February 15, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 15, 2020 I pulled out a Connie A from an October 24:24. Beyond being graded as PSP and purchased as part of a sixer I can’t recall much about it. It was 19 outside and I was going to shoot skeet and needed a Cuban companion some the review this weekend, which not. cigar was very well constructed w a nice sheen. Tight all around, but an easy draw at cold w a V cut. First third revealed a bit of black licorice which went into a touch of mongrel. Uh oh I thought, had I committed infanticide? fortunately the mongrel settled down quickly to a delightful almost delicate smoke I would put more on the mild side. Not much development of flavors but a very enjoyable creamy bomb. Touches of chocolate and only a hint of leather at the very end. burn was nice with only one touch up. last photo was not of the Connie A bit of a Boli RC I Gave to a buddy I was shooting with. He still needs to learn the art of leaving a lot cigar in his mouth while shooting. I don’t think he knows how many dogs mark these stations. I enjoyed the Connie A bit sense that the complexity would develop if I had let it age some more. The remnants of this sixer will get some downtime. 5
Habana Mike Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Thanks for the review. Sounds like it was pretty chilly out there!
rcarlson Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 I think the Connie A is the most consistently excellent cigars out there. A little pricey but worth it IMO. Been invited to a quail hunt soon. You've convinced me to pair one of mine with a little gunpowder too. Good luck on the draw.
