Popular Post Ken Gargett Posted February 6, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 6, 2020 feeling miserable. apparently i have bronchitis, which kyboshed today's video. too many deadlines. anyway, stepped out on the balcony to check the plants etc, with all this rain. the creek has gone from ten months of dust to racing along in flood (not major crisis flooding, at least not yet, but certainly overflowing banks in many parts. i had wondered what on earth happened to the poor platypus during the drought. and they are so hard to see. when i moved in 12 years ago, it was dust and drought and it took a decade before i saw one. i thought that this might be the same, if indeed, any survived. and yet directly below the balcony - in fact much closer to the house than i had ever seen them before - one was having a whale of a time. diving down and swimming about. middle of the day. amazing. has made me feel a million dollars. took heaps of pics. but they are all a bit similar. 29 1
Popular Post El Presidente Posted February 6, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 6, 2020 I am pretty sure that is a water rat. Take care of the coronavirus. Don't panic as it only takes down the elderly with associated issues. 2 5

Ken Gargett Posted February 6, 2020 Author Posted February 6, 2020 Just now, El Presidente said: Absolutely once you catch it, cage it and sell it. this coming from the man who killed one of the pythons. yes, you did! they were all perfectly well (except graham, of course) and then you go and bag them and 24 hours later they are burying one of them. leave my platypus alone.
nKostyan Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Excellent photo! By the way, I missed: where did the possum go?
dshot Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Great pic of the duck billed platypus - I think. Get well soon! I'm battling a cold from my 1 year old so I know the feeling. No cigars for me until I'm better sucks!
Chibearsv Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Very cool looking. Glad the sight of it made you feel better. Getting sick sucks.
