Chas.Alpha Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 OUT OF THE LOCKER ROOM: Great cold draw. A Baaaanyaaad aroma from the box, as Rob would say. The rest of us Yanks recognize that they put the letter “R” there for a reason... KICKOFF: Great light, immediately turns to citrus and toast. The beautiful oily sheen on the wrapper becomes pronounced again. A bit of chocolate lightly emerges with a hint of cinnamon. The chocolate and cinnamon dominates the end of the 1st Quarter... SECOND QUARTER: Chocolate and cinnamon start strong, but begin to relax. The burn and construction is still brilliant, however the citrus and toast have seemingly retreated to the sidelines. We seem to be playing to the halftime... HALFTIME: Apparently, we have Justin Bieber as the halftime show. This has become completely flat and uninteresting... THIRD QUARTER: The oils from this wrapper are becoming much more pronounced. It almost glistens in the moonlight! The flavors from the halftime show have now returned, and now the citrus and toast have made their way back onto the field. Chocolate and cinnamon have taken a defensive posture, and a nutty/tobacco flavor begin to dominate. FORTH QUARTER: The citrus and cinnamon notes have made a surprise comeback! A beautiful and rich tobacco flavor compliments them, as this game is coming down to the wire... KC: 28 SF: 35 1 1
Chucko8 Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Nice review and pictures. I'm yet to try a picadores, so shall make it happen soon enough. The chocolate, cinnamon and nutty profile you've described sound enticing.
Mikeltee Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Great review... I also have never had a picodore yet it's been on my must try list since I began this journey. They don't pop up all that often, if ever. Are they like the rest of the PL line in that they need many years until they shine? I love PCs MCs and pantellas with a few years on them.
RDB Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Nice review, thanks. You have real patience to leave the whole box five years like that... or a LOT of cigars. 4 hours ago, Mikeltee said: Are they like the rest of the PL line in that they need many years until they shine? I think they come round earlier. I’m really enjoying a box of UER NOV 17s at the moment. However, I think they are and always will be a different flavour profile to the PC and MC. The Picadore is a little lighter in body, more vegetal sweetness (think sweet garden peas) than caramel, less dark flavours at the edges. Sort of like a cross between PL and a de-tuned Partagas. Very nice though. 1
Doctortrent Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Nice review I will try to get a few of these

Very nice though. Patience is not a virtue that I possess. I found these during my last trip in October on the top shelf at the old P factory. They weren’t on my shopping list, but in retrospect I should have bought the other 3 boxes that were underneath these. I took a pic of each box after freezing them in November, I smoked the 1st of these mid December and I reviewed the last one from the top row last night! ?
The Squiggler Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 creative review structure... very nice! my favorite line: 14 hours ago, Chas.Alpha said: Chocolate and cinnamon have taken a defensive posture ?

I bought 3 SB squares this year (2) $20 and (1) $60. All three squares contain the number “5”. What are the odds?... ??
