bayala Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Still too early to call at the top! Congratulations to @Skypilot who was our outright winner this week with 14 correct tips. Please PM @First Lady to collect your prize. Hot Takes 1. Was Jalen Ramsay right? [Former Jags LB Jeff Kopp] I was fined conduct detrimental by TC after missing a lifting session on Monday after a bye week. That’s a game check. I got stuck in O’Hare due to lightning and cancelled flight. I was fined the same amount as a teammate that was arrested & spent the night in jail. Coughlin has been fired and now there's 10's of stories in the media about unfair sanctions and fines imposed on the players. Seems like there's an ex explanation now for how they have descended as a franchise since being 1 game away from the Super Bowl. 2. Only the skins This is just embarrassing: Redskins beat reporter Craig Hoffman (106.7 The Fan) has confirmed that GM Bruce Allen - not the coaching staff - has the authority to call when to throw the challenge flag during games. Dan Snyder has given Allen this authority for several years now. 3. Records continue to fall [ESPN] There have been 649 individual 1,000 rush yard seasons. There have been 124 individual 30 pass TD seasons. Lamar Jackson is the 1st player in NFL history with both in a season. He continues to rewrite the record books. Will we sit here in 20 years time and see these records fall like we have with Vick's? Many of which people thought couldn't be broken. 4. Trees Bill Belichick is 272–126 and 31–11 in the postseason. His former assistants combined have a 180-268-1 record and single playoff win Is the coaching tree really that important? Analysts and tv hosts spend a lot of time talking about coaching trees etc but is there any merit? 5. Have they peaked too early? [Schefter] Ravens had an NFL record 12 players voted to this season’s Pro Bowl. Can the ravens keep up their hot form and favorite status. There's still plenty of football to be played this year. 1

FireMedic Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Getting close to the top5 after a few had too many drinks and forgot to make my picks, climbing the ladder. Little chance to get much higher but much enjoyed this season competition. Many thanks!!
